1909 - 1914 Models

The Minstrel And Rea Cycle Co., Ltd., Birmingham exhibited 2 motor bicycles for the 1910 season at the 1909 Stanley Show in November, marketed as a Calthorpe, after the firm's successful Calthopre car which had been in production for several years. 1911 Models

In 1911 George Hands had patented his two speed gear with constant mesh gears, the drive being taken through expanding metal to metal clutches. This device was offered on the 2 ½ and 3 ½ HP models and also on a 4 ¼ HP model added during the year of 1912.
